A Must-Try Harlem Steakhouse

Steak, eggs, rice, avocado and plaintains

When I want to hear good music, have a great time, and most importantly... brunch, Ricardo Steakhouse is always sure to deliver. From salads to signature cut steaks, the menu is not what you typically expect for brunch. And that is what makes them stand out from the rest. It might sound like a crazy concoction but somehow fried egg, skirt steak, chorizo, rice & beans, avocado, and plantain work together for brunch. This dish is called the Ricardo Special Breakfast, appropriately named, and obnoxiously delicious. After you tell your server what temperature you’d like your steak, enjoy the complimentary garlic bread with marinara sauce for the table. Thirsty? This restaurant offers bottomless specialty mimosas and bellinis with any brunch entrée so choose wisely. Ricardo has become a Harlem staple, the food is great, and it’s always a vibe, so it can get crowded quickly. I highly encourage making reservations.

Oysters

These Deserve An Honorable Mention:

Oysters probably aren’t the first thing you might go for at a steakhouse, but here, it’s worth ordering. The Blue Point Oysters come in half or a dozen and are perfect for the table to share. Listed as a side dish, the Garlic Spinach is so good it can be eaten alone. Yes, we know how simple this sounds, but the way the wilted spinach is sautéed with fresh garlic is classically delicious. Everything at Ricardo is seasoned and well-proportioned. Brunch ends at 4:00pm every weekend, so come hungry and leave happy.
